2015 Ford Edge Titanium with the 3.5L V6 - reviews and feedback(ShouldIBuy?)
Hi All, I am a soon to be first-time car owner and considering purchasing a used 2015 Ford Edge Titanium with 3.5 L V6 engine. Car has been through 180k kms (111k miles). Online reading puts the 2015 model of the Ford Edge in one of the cars to avoid. While there seem to be a fair share of problems associated with the 2.0L and 2.7L Ecoboost engine (which was new at the time), I am wondering if anyone has faced problems with the 3.5L V6. I believe this is a tried and tested old engine? Am I correct? Does anyone here still have a 2015 Edge Titanium with the 3.5L V6? Or have good knowledge about the car's reliability? Would really appreciate any reviews and feedback on buying the car. Also, any tips on what to look out during my inspection with a mechanic? The cars tires and brakes looks to be in good shape. A bit nervous since its my first car and would appreciate your feedback. Vehicle came in for misfire cylinder 2.. suspected plug or coil.. changed changed changed, to no avail. Thought maybe a burnt valve on cyl 2… stripped head and all looked in order.. budget tested each cylinder thinking maybe rings broke/collapsed by placing palm over the top and turning engine.. nothing on cyl 2. Pulled pistons to find this.. How do you think it happened? Vehicle was still running be it with a misfire.

I have a Ford Mustang 2015 key fob. There is a chip in there; however, the lights don’t turn on regardless of how the battery is. Is this because it’s not programmed? Or is it a defective piece? It’s happened twice in a row now. Whenever I click, no power to the light.
I’m planning to buy a car in 1-2month and was looking around and found this 2015 v6 mustang fastback automatic with 130,000KMs(80k miles) with $16,980 CAD is it worth it? Also I’ve done some research and this 3.7 engine seems pretty reliable but how is it actually by the owners experience? I do take care with basic maintenance very well(oil change, transmission fluid, etc) will it last longer than 3 years? Also, what are the common problem for this 2015 3.7 mustangs? I’m just worried if anything will be lot expensive beside the basic maintenance. I will keep it stock for every performance wise beside some cosmetic stuffs. Lastly, what are some serious things to check before purchasing the car?
2015 Ford focus SE makes whirring sounds when trying to accelerate. Will not accelerate or reverse. Shifts completely fine and it happened up hill, so im stuck here for a while. :( 120,301mi and no lights are on the dash even after turned off and on.
I have a 2015 ford escape I purchased recently and after 5k miles driving (almost 142k odo) I got my first check engine light. It is an exhaust cam position sensor that popped on a 2.0L ecoboost. I was wondering if there were any tips any mechanics had on either doing this without removing a section of intake or if I have to, what tips on removing it? It's quite intimidating and I don't really want to break anything else because the nearest auto parts store is an hour away.
Currently my wife and I own a 2015 Ford Focus SE that has about 70,000 miles on it. As many in this sub know, the huge draw back with this car is the transmission clutch shutters bad if not driven correctly. We’re had the clutch replaced once under warranty, but now it is outside the warranty period. Anyways, I’ve been going back and forth with my wife trying to figure out if we should try and sell the car for roughly 9k-10k private party or dump the car to a Dealer for about 8k. I was holding out hope that a private buyer would scoop it up for the prices I listed above, but we’re struggling to find the right buyer after 1 month of listing the car. We own the car outright. We do have a refundable $500 deposit on a 2023 VW Jetta at a local Dealer. My main question is, in our position, should we flip the car to a Dealership for 8k, hold out to try and sell third party for 9-10k, or just drive the thing into the dirt. For reference, the Dealership that we have the $500 deposit on is only offering us $6k max for the car. Curious to see if anyone else has had similar experiences with this car and if the resale value on these seem to be as bad as I’m experiencing. Cheers!! EDIT: Forgot to mention that we do have a Dealership willing to take the car for $7,500 at the moment.
